PRIMENE, 10% (Amino Acid Injection 10% w/v) for neonatal and pediatric patients is indicated for the nutritional support of infants (including those of low birth weight) and young children requiring TPN via either central or peripheral infusion routes. TRAVASOL 10% (amino acids injection 10% w/v) is indicated as a source of amino acids in clinical conditions where enteral nutritional supply is or is expected to be insufficient or impossible in order to offset or prevent nitrogen loss or negative nitrogen balance. 20% ProSol (Amino Acid Injection 20% w/v) when administered with a source of energy is indicated as a source of amino acid in the treatment of negative nitrogen balance in patients where: (1) the alimentary tract cannot or should not be used. (2) gastrointestinal absorption of amino acids is impaired, or (3) metabolic requirements for protein are substantially increased, as with extensive burns.
